- Allow at least a half day
A simple day-trip plan
This is a suggested itinerary, not a fixed tour. The lake and Brahma Temple make a natural pairing. The temple’s red spire is a familiar landmark; it is one of the few temples dedicated to Brahma.
- Have breakfast, then travel from Ajmer to Pushkar.
- Visit Brahma Temple and spend time around the lake and ghats.
- Leave space for the market lanes and a meal before returning to Ajmer.
Brahma Temple’s published hours
Incredible India lists summer hours of 5 am–1:30 pm and 3–9 pm; winter hours are 6 am–1:30 pm and 3–8:30 pm. Plan your temple visit around the afternoon break. Special-event arrangements follow the temple’s local notices.
Around the lake and ghats
The ghats are places of worship as well as part of the town’s daily life. Dress considerately, keep passages clear and follow the displayed instructions for footwear and photography. Allow unhurried time for your group to explore.
For a longer outing, consider Savitri Temple. Rajasthan Tourism lists a ropeway there; plan that as an additional stop rather than squeezing it into a short visit.
